Disability Pride events have long been part of Values Into Action’s story. Each year, we show up alongside self-advocates, families, and community partners to celebrate identity, connection, and pride.
For us, attending Disability Pride is more than participation—it is the culmination of our mission and vision. It reflects our commitment to building communities where people are valued, included, and celebrated for who they are.
What is Disability Pride?
The mission of Disability Pride PA is to celebrate and empower the disability community by bringing people together to have fun and advocate for disability justice, building an inclusive world for all.
It is a time to:
- Celebrate people with disabilities
- Share stories and experiences
- Build community
- Speak up for inclusion and respect
Disability Pride Pennsylvania brings people together to have fun, build connections, and support a more inclusive world.
Where are the events?
Disability Pride events are happening in different cities across Pennsylvania in 2026:
- Philadelphia – June 13
- Erie – July 7
- Washington – July 14
- Pittsburgh – September 26
Each event is a little different, but all are welcoming and open to everyone.
What happens at Disability Pride events?
- Music and performances
- Speakers and community leaders
- Resource tables
- Food and fun activities
- Spaces to relax, like quiet or sensory-friendly areas
Disability Pride events are designed to be accessible, with things like interpreters, clear signs, and comfortable spaces for everyone.
Why is this important?
Disability Pride reminds us that:
- People with disabilities belong in every community
- Our voices matter
- Our experiences are important
These events help people feel seen, respected, and included.
